The charter of the Backstage.Network website (the “Website”) is intended to inform you of the rights and freedoms that you can assert with respect to our use of your personal data and describes the measures we are implementing to protect them.
The association Backstage.Network ASBL is the “person responsible for the processing” of personal data relating to the management of the website. These treatments are implemented in accordance with applicable law.

Backstage.Network ASBL reserves the right to modify this Charter in order to comply with the privacy laws in force.

1. Purpose of processing and types of data collected

When you visit the website, you are likely to provide us with a certain amount of personal data such as your name and surname to create a user profile. The collection of personal data on the website is always done explicitly through a form that you fill out yourself.
Your personal data are not processed outside the framework of the website and are only kept for the duration necessary for the proper functioning of the website.

2. Recipients of the data

As a user, none of your personal data will be published on the website without your consent. You manage this data yourself: you decide in your settings which information in your profile is or is not shared with other users of the site. In any case, your email and telephone contact details are published on the website. At any time, you can delete or modify your data, download them, suspend their publication on the site or delete them completely and permanently.

Under no circumstances will your personal data be shared with other organizations or individuals without your express consent. If you subscribe to the “MentorYou” program (funded by Actiris), your user profile data may be shared with the organizers of this mentoring service, in this case the non-profit organizations Backstage.Network and Pour La Solidarité (PLS). At any time, if you quit this program, you can decide to keep or delete your profile and your data.

The data controller transfers personal data in compliance with applicable laws. In particular, the ASBL Backstage.Network is subject to the law of 8 December 1992 on the protection of privacy, as well as to the general regulation on the processing of personal data in the EU (GDPR).

3. Security and confidentiality of your data

The controller shall take appropriate measures to safeguard the security and confidentiality of your personal data, in particular to prevent it from being distorted, damaged, or unauthorized third parties having access to it.

4. Cookie management

Cookies can only be installed on your computer under the conditions specified. A “cookie” is a file that allows you to record information relating to the navigation of your computer on the website (eg number of visits, number of pages viewed …) and in particular to facilitate your visits to the site. You may at any time delete the “cookies” installed on your computer, oppose the registration of new “cookies” and receive a notification before installing a new cookie by configuring your browser. Please note that if you uninstall a “cookie” or if you oppose the installation of “cookies” on your machine you may feel a decrease in the quality of the user experience, for example the need to reintroduce its identifier and word password at each connection to the website.
